The core of the Glass-Analysis for Decoding
Only program is a method for clustering letters within words. Each
cluster is a combination of letters (ie "at" "Ick"
or "tion") producing consistent sound-symbol relationships.
Each of the levels of Glass-Analysis kits
directs teachers to condition students to recognize and use the
consistent clusters within words. Each kit contains thirty sets
of clusters, each coded by difficulty level.

Each Glass-Analysis shipment contains
informative Teacher Guides which instruct the teacher,
step-by-step, in the Glass-Analysis method for decoding via
letter clustering. The valuable information in the Guides
can be used to teach decoding even when using materials not
in the Glass-Analysis program.
|
Correlated with each of the four
decoding kits are two soft cover Follow Through Practice
Books (8 in all) written specifically for oral decoding
practice in context. Each book contains sentences with the
same clusters as in its correlated kit.

A book of Across Word Puzzles
where the answer words contain clusters from the Starters
level of the Glass-Analysis for Decoding Only program.
• |
30 Pages of Across Word grids |
• |
Definition clues for each puzzle |
• |
A list of possible answer words on each page |
• |
Answers to all puzzles in the back |

Additionally,
an Easy Starts kit is available for those with major
difficulty in adapting to the sound-symbol
relationships. The Easy Starts kit contains 12 of the simplest
clusters and target words, enabling success in decoding for
these learners.
An Easy Starts Follow Through
Practice Book is available to be used in conjunction with
the Easy Starts kit.
